Rosie decided to sleep on one of my coats this morning then, when I had to wear it, opted for a very stylish stripy jacket.

Larry's Lockdown Paunch

 

The Mirror reports that Larry has been to the vets for a check up, and has been found to have put on 0.5kg during lockdown.

As such, Number 10 staff have been told to cut down on treats for14 year old  Larry. 

A memo sent to No10 staff warned: 

“Larry…has put on 0.5kg in lockdown so likely too many Dreamies. Please can we reduce these?”

Seemingly Larry was “noisy in the car, but remained dignified once in the vets - even whilst having his temperature taken in a place he wasn’t expecting.”

The memo noted that upon his return from the vets, Larry immediately went to “flirt” with the press - who did not notice a small shaved area on his neck where blood tests had been taken.

Larry’s heart, lungs and body are sound and there was no sign of heart, kidney or liver disease.

However, vets said his remaining teeth will have to come out soon.

 

Catastrophe Averted as Cat Delays Train Departure

A tabby cat was spotted last night on an Avanti West Coast train at London Euston sitting atop the 125mph Pendolino service at 8.30pm before it was due to leave for Manchester at 9pm.

Passengers were put on a replacement train as staff took the one the cat was on out of service to try and coax it down. It took them over two hours to coax him down. 

It then 'swaggered off' with the air of having somewhere else to be. 

It is not clear as to how the cat got up there in the first place.

Rosie's New William Morris Duvet and Pillow

In November last year I constructed a wee bed for Rosie, which she likes.

I am pleased to report that the bedding has just been upgraded, by using some offcuts of William Morris's "The Strawberry Thief" to make a new pillow and duvet for her.

Rosie and I would like to thank Sara Walpole of Sarah & Topsy for making such splendid bedding for Rosie.
