Seagull Rescued

 

High drama today, as a fledgling seagull had fallen off a roof and was stranded in the garden overnight.

Daisy studied the bird intently. However, in the end decided it was a bit too big to eat and therefore carried on with her normal routine and left it to its own devices in the garden.

A volunteer from The South Coast Bird Volunteer Network came round this morning to trap the bird, who then ran through the cat hole in the fence to our neighbours. Fortunately they were in, and the bird was rescued from their garden.

It was then put back on our roof, via my office window, where it walked across to find its mother.

Schroedinger's Mouse

 

Following on from last Monday's mouse alert, when one ran past me in the kitchen, it has not been seen since.

Therefore it is either lying on its back with its paws in the air behind the fridge, or it has taken up residence in the house.

In the event of the latter I will be naming it Erwin!

Mouse Alert!

 

Daisy has, at some stage in the last 24 hours, brought another mouse into the house.

 

I know this because it ran past me in the kitchen this morning, and is now hiding around the wine racks.

 

I will let you know if I am able to locate and rescue it, before Daisy does.
