Rosie's Rose Bush

 

Mid September I wrote that we had buried Rosie's ashes in the garden, and marked the spot with a temporary copper coal scuttle planted with roses (noting that we would plant a rose bush later in the year).

 

Yesterday, we planted a Princes Alexandra of Kent rose bush to permanently mark the spot where Rosie's' ashes are buried. 

 

It may look a little "unflowery" at the moment, but it will burst into life in the spring.

Well this was unexpected. 

 

I sat down on the sofa yesterday to have a bacon and egg sandwich, Daisy was also on the sofa. 

 

For reasons that are unclear, she decided to run across the sofa to look at something on the wall. 

 

Unfortunately, her chosen route was across my lap and my sandwich. 

 

The result being a yolk soaked back paw, and eggy pawprints on the sofa.

 

The sandwich was still nice though!
